Now combined with the July Courage to be Me program.

We have a lot of fun at these wellness camps. Participants are guided through a variety of activities with the herd learning about personal safety, self awareness, boundary setting, empathy development, relationship building, and leadership skills among other applicable life skills. Campers also learn basic horse care, safety and horsemanship. They receive a daily riding lesson that focuses on balance and control – these lessons are tailored for all levels of rider. We also have daily crafts, nature hikes, picnics and many other fun filled activities. Participants leave with higher levels of self-confidence, self-awareness and self-regulation.

Mornings will be spent developing leadership skills through group interactions, equine learning activities and games. The afternoons will be spent practicing leadership skills through horsemanship and riding lessons.

CHA Certified Instructor—Rachael Salustro will be joining us to instruct participants in effective horsemanship and riding. Horsemanship is focused on using clear leadership and communication between the horse and the handler. This will give participants a safe, non-judgmental place to test out their newly acquired leadership skills. The horses act as a mirror and give immediate feedback to the participant on if he or she is communicating effectively.

These are beginner friendly camps, and all lesson horses are provided.
